The Executive

The term of office for the Executive shall be one (1) year. The term commences upon the adjournment of the ETFO Annual Meeting in August each year and will end upon the adjournment of the ETFO Annual Meeting the following year as per the Local Constitution.

Your 2011-2012 Local Executive

Marion Mutton, President

Marion has served as President of the Local since September 2005 and has been actively involved in Federation since becoming a teacher in 1989. She is a member of the Negotiations team and sits as an ex-officio member on all Local committees. Marion leads the Local delegation at the ETFO Annual Meeting each August. She is committed to the professional well-being of our members and their involvement in our Local as well as strongly upholding the terms of our Collective Agreement.

Rob Fulford, First Vice-President

Rob has been an occasional teacher since 2001 and a member of the executive team since 2006. He is committed to representing all members in regard to teaching issues in the TDSB. Rob has experience as part of past negotiating teams as well as being Social Committee chair since 2008. He represents the Local at the ETFO Annual Meeting each August. Rob has taught both daily and long-term assignments and understands the unique circumstances and concerns of all occasional teachers. Sabrina Ramnanan, Second Vice-President

Sabrina is a writer and a teacher. Her involvement with the Local began as a Health & Safety Inspector in 2009. Since then, she has assumed the roles of Executive-at-Large and Third Vice-President on the executive team. She looks forward to chairing the Equity and Social Justice Committees this year, as well as contributing to the Local’s other standing committees.

Donna Chapman, Third Vice-President

Donna has been a member of the executive team since 2001 and a vice-president since 2003. As Professional Development Chair, she is committed to providing meaningful P.D. opportunities for members at all stages in their careers. Past experience includes Chair of the Excellent Schools and Elections Committees as well as serving on a number of standing and ad hoc Local committees. She is a member of the Local delegation to the ETFO Annual Meeting each August. Donna reaches out to welcome and assist new occasional teachers.

Scott Maudsley, Treasurer

Scott is a teacher and actor and it is acting truly that brought him into teaching. He’s a graduate of the Artist in the Community Program of Education which combines the two disciplines in an exciting and creative way. Being part of the Occasional Teachers’ Executive provides an opportunity to become more involved and serve the organization that has supported him. He looks forward to serving the Local in the role of Treasurer this year.

Susan Monahan, Secretary

Susan has been a member of the Local Executive since its inception. Over the past ten years, Susan has served as Executive-at-large and Secretary. She has been chair of the Constitution Committee and a member of numerous other committees. Susan is an active daily and long-term occasional teacher. She has served as a member of the Local delegation to the ETFO Annual Meeting in August of each year.

Judy Anderson, Executive-at-Large

Judy has been an occasional teacher since September, 2001, after a 31-year career with the Toronto District School Board. She has enjoyed working on professional development activities, being part of the Health & Safety Committee and attending ETFO Annual General Meetings for several years.

Greg Deitcher, Executive-at-Large

Greg has done daily and long-term occasional teaching since 1998. He was first elected to the Local’s Executive in 2006 as an executive-at-large. He has served on a variety of Committees and has chaired the Elections and Excellent Schools Committee.He has represented the Local as a delegate at the ETFO Annual General Meeting since 2007 and is a vocal advocate for the rights of occasional teachers.

Bonnie Grossman, Executive-at-Large

 

Marsha Rayman, Executive-at-Large

Marsha has been a member of our Local Executive since its inception. She was Secretary from 1998-2004 and Treasurer from 2004-2010. She has done both LTO and daily work in numerous schools across the TDSB and particularly enjoys teaching at the primary level. Marsha has served as a member of the Local delegation to the ETFO Annual Meeting every August and is involved with various Local committees.

Iris Sopinka, Executive-at-Large

Iris has been an occasional teacher since 1999. She started her career in teaching as a French teacher and has always been passionate about learning and teaching languages. Iris first served on the Executive in 2004, volunteering on the Excellent Schools Committee. Iris has been both a delegate and an alternate at the ETFO Provincial Annual Meeting in August. She loves occasional teaching, doing both daily and long-term work because she can teach and still find time to do community work.

 

 

Pat Munroe, Executive-at-Large

Pat has been a daily and long-term Occasional Teacher since 2005. She has a passion for human rights issues, within and beyond the school setting. Pat has served on the Equity and Social Justice Committee since 2008  as well as assisting in our Local’s other committees. As a Project Overseas participant, she represented our Local federation branch in Uganda in 2008, in Mongolia in 2009, and was a team leader for Project Overseas 2011 in Mongolia. She is appreciative of the great work our Local does and is committed to helping our members.
