- To provide a welcoming social environment for all members within the organization and create a ‘staff room’ community for occasional teachers to communicate with their colleagues.
- To plan and carry out social activities on behalf of the members of ETFO Toronto Occasional Teachers.
- To encourage members to get involved in all matters of the organization.
- To make an effort to get to know the members better.
- To advise the Executive on matters relating to the work of the committee.
- To accurately track and record all expenses associated with running the committee and any social events put on by the committee.
- To encourage input from the members on future Social events and initiate member feedback.
- To continue to build a resource file for future ideas.
- To present a report to the membership at the Locals AGM.
- To make recommendations to the budget committee for the following budget year.
- To encourage members to provide the Local with updated data such as email, phone and address for more efficient communication with the membership.
